This sugar-free apple moelleux — a soft, French-style cake — is naturally sweetened with applesauce, grain-free, and perfect for anyone who wants a wholesome dessert without refined sugar. Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1/4 cup coconut flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp honey (optional)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced

  • 2-3 sliced apples for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: Almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.

  3. Mix wet ingredients: Applesauce, coconut oil, honey, eggs, vanilla extract.

  4. Combine: Stir wet into dry until smooth.

  5. Fold in apples until evenly distributed.

  6. Top with sliced apples.

  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
